The trip itself was not well planned but we managed somehow to go Florida. The reason for all of us not sure of going for this trip was that mainly due to Suresh and myself. I was out of project in Nov 1st week and the trip we wanted to go was on Nov 23rd. I expected that i would get a job by Nov 23rd but i didnt get any. Also Suresh was looking for a job so he was also not sure. And mainly Bharat dropped out due to his personal reasons.
But finally on Nov 22nd me Stanley and Suresh firmly decided to go Florida along with Vijay who already booked his flight to Miami. We started from Richmond on Nov 23rd Wed night at around 10 o clock. Stanley, Suresh and myself rented a car from budget and left to Florida. We got a Crown Vic which looks like a cop car. We had fun in the journey which was for 15 hrs. Stanley drove first next Suresh, next myself and final touch by Stanley made us reach Miami, FL to Naveen's place. Vijay was already at Naveens apt but he wasnt.
We freshed up had some food and left to Miami hotel resort on Miami beach. Before we started to Miami we changed our car Crown Vic with Chrysler 300 at Ft Lauderdale Airport. We logged in the hotel at Miami and went out on beach in the evening. It was also dark. We went to a near by beach restaurant had some beer and quesadillas. That night we went to Night club and drank a lot of alcohol and came home at 4 am.
Next day we checked out of the hotel room and went to Miami beach. Stanley was sitting in Starbucks and me Vijay and suresh were walking along the beach side which was actually little boring. Then we had some beer. After Stanley finished his work we went into the beach played for sometiime which was also boring.
After the beach we freshed up somehow on the road and beachside restrooms. Then we left for shopping. We were already tired and sleep deprived. Shopping was fun on the Miami beach straight outlets. I bought a AIX jacket and others bought some other stuff. After that we went to Aventura mall some 15 miles away. There we spent something around 2 hrs till the mall closed. We started from mall went to Pizza hut who made horrible pizza but we ate it. We changed clothes in Pizza hut parking lot and again went to Miami South beach for Pubs/Night clubs.
We didnt had any room to stay so we parked our car in a parking lot and stanley decided to take some sleep since he got to drive to Keywest in few hrs.
Me Vijay and Suresh went out at 11.30 AM to hit night clubs but no one allowed us in. Vijay was dissapointed and i felt sorry for him, but i was doing alright just that i was tired i cudnt do anything but to relx and have some beer. Vijay tried a lot to get us inside atleast one club but the effort was wasted. Then me and suresh some how convinced vijay to go to Ocean Dr to have some beer.
We went to ocean dr and it was lot happening over there. We went to Clevelanders bar which was open bar and also lot happening. Vijay got involved and got into the groove. Me and Suresh had fun chatting and having some beer. Then we went to Mangos Tropical restaurant which was a very good place to drink and dance. Vijay had fun throughout though he was not satisfied. Finally we finsihed out clubbing and then returned back to parking lot woke up stanley and drove to Key West at around 4 AM.
We reached Key West at around 8 AM in the morning, and i didnt belive my eyes how beautiful Key West was. I liked Key West more than the Miami itself. It was fun seeing the blue waters and whte sand.
We freshed up at Mcdonalds and then started directly to the boat for rides as a package.
We went on a cruiser into the middle of the ocean for water sports which was lot of fun. We went into ocean at 10 am and came back at around 5 pm. We did Kayaking, Snorkelling, swimming, Banana Boat ride, Ate on the cruiser, smoked and had beer, went for para sailing and finally came back.
At 5.30 pm we went back to the hotel at Key West and checked in and slept for 3-4 hrs. We woke up at 10 and went to Subway and ate. At 11 pm we went to Duval St in Key West which is one of the best streets in USA acc to me for offering wide variety of Carribean style bars and pubs. Special mention would be Schooner Wharf for its authentic raw natural cheap style of the restaurant which attracted me towards it.
I felt as if iam in carribean actually i really was. Next best would be Ricks and list goes on. We did clubbing till 4 am and left to hotel and slept. We woke up at around 10 in the morning and drove back to Miami for dropping Vijay at Naveens place.
We reached Miami at around 2 pm had lunch at indian restaurant and met Naveen. It was nice to meet Naveen after many years. He was as it is when i met him last time around four years back. Good guy good humor and we had fun. Then we said good bye to Naveen and Vijay in Miami on Sunday at 4.30 pm and drove back to Richmond. Stanley drove first then Suresh and last myself. We reached Richmond at 7.30 AM on Monday.
